David Beckham Plays Soccer, Fights Knives
It’s been over a year since he moved his entire family from the UK to Los Angeles, California. And yesterday David Beckham was back in Mother England taking care of business.
The LA Galaxy stud was spotted warming up with his Team England teammates in preparation for their forthcoming friendly match against the Czech Republic. And David looked rather comfortable to be back on the English pitch.
Becks also tended to his social responsibility duties with a press conference at the Grove Hotel, along with the Home Secretary and Police Deputy Assistant Commissioner, to announce the initiation of a new anti-knife campaign.
As for the recent advertisements featuring the English soccer star in his undies, David told FOX Pop Tarts’ Hollie McKay that his wife Victoria approves. “She is totally fine with it — we laughed. It’s a great campaign and I’m very honored to be part of it.”
He also said that while their home is back in the UK, they’ve grown to love the USA. “We love England—it is where we are both from and our families are from, but we’re very happy here and things are going so well. We’re enjoying it and everyone has been so great to us. We are really happy here.”
