David Beckham Is Back In The Game
He’s been dealing with everything from agressive paparazzi, to his wife’s desire for a swankier home, so when David Beckham returned to the field last night, it must have been a moment of clarity.
Beck’s team the LA Galaxy played DC United last night and lost 1-0. But the British import’s 21 minutes on the pitch was a welcome change from riding the pine.
“It felt a lot better tonight than it has for a while,” he said. “It’s difficult after eight weeks doing hardly anything, but I was happy to be back on the field tonight.”
“We have to look forward to the next game and work hard because it’s a process that we have to get right,” Beckham said. “And we will, because we’ve got a lot of talent in this team. It’s just about getting it onto the pitch and proving it to people.”
For $250 million, he’d better start chalking up some marks in the “win” column.
