Daredevil Evel Knievel Dies At Age 69

Every once in awhile, a man comes along who tries to cheat death, and he succeeds time and time again.  But sadly, death finally caught up with Robert Craig Knievel Jr, known to his fans as “Evel” Knievel.

The world-famous daredevil passed away earlier today (November 30th).  Reportedly, he had been in bad health for quite some time.

Knievel was crippled with arthritis, had recently recovered from a stroke, and his body was still feeling the effects of a life spent in physical pain due to constant injury.

He told an interviewer, “I think about God a lot more than ever, though I used to ask him, ‘Help me make a good jump.’ I’m awfully tough to get along with, but I’ll tell you what: I am a good person. I wish there was such a thing as reincarnation.”

Evel had a hope that he’d done right by God, and was looking forward to going to Heaven.  “If there is a heaven, I don’t know anything else I can do to get there, and neither do you.”

Earlier this week, Knievel amicably settled a lawsuit he’d filed against Kanye West for using his likeness in West’s “Touch The Sky” video.
