Danielle Lloyd Talks Domestic Violence
She looked stunning as she arrive at the UK premiere of “Marley and Me” last night in Leicester Square. But it hasn’t always been all smiles for Danielle Lloyd.
In light of the recent abuse suffered by Rihanna at the hands of Chris Brown, Miss Lloyd has released a picture of her own battered face after receiving a beating from a violent ex-boyfriend.
Danielle told press that she was locked in her abusive relationship for two years, and hopes that she can help fellow abuse victims see that there’s an alternative to staying with an abuser. “It saddens me to read about violent relationships. I’d advise any woman not to return to an abusive partner.”
Of her own experience she explained, “He’d call me a slag. Soon he started hitting me. Every time, he’d cry and say it wouldn’t happen again. Towards the end he was hitting me near enough every day.”
Following the final attack at the hands of her ex, Danielle says she woke up with “blood all over me, all over the bed, all over the walls. I’d been out cold for three or four minutes.” After spending a week in the hospital, she moved on with her life apart from her ex.
