Courtney Love Lets Kurt’s Stuff Go
Courtney Love has had a rough go of it. I mean come on… her husband kills himself, and people actually tried to blame her! After years of battling substance abuse and emotional instability, not to mention trying to raise her daughter, Francis Bean, Courtney Love is moving on.
Love has told the press that she plans to sell off the belongings of her late husband Kurt Cobain. Love said: “I’m going to have a Christie’s auction. [My house] is like a mausoleum.”
"My daughter (Frances Bean Cobain) doesn’t need to inherit a giant bag full of flannel shirts. A sweater, a guitar and the lyrics to ‘(Smells Like) Teen Spirit’ - that’s what my daughter gets. And the rest of it we’ll just… sell,” she told Spinner.com.
“Everyone’s been positive and behind me on it,” she said. “We’ll make a lot of money and give a bunch of it to charity. I still wear his pajamas to bed. How am I ever going to go form another relationship in my lifetime wearing Kurt’s pajamas?” she added.
Love is hoping her new solo album will propel her to the front of the “comeback” line currently populated by Whitney Houston and Britney Spears. We’ll keep you posted on any auction details, in case you’re looking to pick up some authentic “grunge-era” garb.
