Colin Farrell’s Suicide Link

Breakups are a hard thing to deal with.  Usually it’s difficult enough to get over a former hottie, without having them go out and date a celebrity.  For John Marc Knight, his tragic decision to take his own life came as a result of his ex’s decision to date actor Colin Farrell.

Knight, 22, was said to be devastated when his former girlfriend Muireann McDonnell fell in love with the ‘Phone Booth’ actor.  Two months later he committed suicide. Last night the beautiful brunette Muireann, 21, was said to be in a battle to come to terms with the tragedy.

McDonnell had already split from Knight when she met Farrell, 30, over Christmas. Before that, she and John had been a “really good couple”, according to friends. One source said: “They’d been going out for some time and gone traveling. They had done Australia and all that. Everything really looked like it was going well.”

The former altar boy was found dead in February at his home. The day before he took his own life, he had joined pals to watch Ireland’s rugby clash with France, after just finishing up his college exams

“He struggled to cope with her seeing somebody else. The fact it was Colin Farrell must have made matters worse. As time passed things got worse for John,” a friend mentioned.

Fortunately, friends of Knight aren’t laying any blame on McDonnell. One said: “She is a genuine person and a great friend. When she was with John she was a devoted girlfriend.”
