Christie Brinkley: Still Battling with Her Ex
Unable to put aside their differences, Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook are still not at peace with one other.
The former couple’s malicious divorce trial made headlines last summer and once again the duo was handling a messy day of court charges and counter charges of violating the settlement agreement.
During court in Long Island, NY, lawyers for Peter, who had cheated on Brinkley with a teenager, accused Christie of trying to ruin his relationship with their children, Sailor and Jack.
Claims were made that Brinkley did not provide Peter their son’s passport for a class trip to Egypt that he was chaperoning and the son could not go. Peter’s lawyer also threw in many demands, even Christie doing jail time.
The Covergirl’s lawyer said she was a few hours late to give the passport because her friend’s mom died and Peter refused to get it from her home. The lawyer also said Peter has violated the settlement by giving a television interview with Barbara Walters and by letting his new girlfriend, Suzanna Shaw, spend time with the kids on a boat the couple once shared. Christie’s lawyer also added demands - including jail time as well.
Legal experts have announced that it is not likely jail time will occur, but they will be back in court on Tuesday.
