Chris Brown Given 5 Years Probation

Trying to put his past misdeeds behind him, Chris Brown has reached a plea bargain stemming from his felony assault case for the well-publicized beating of ex-girlfriend Rihanna this past February.

Showing up to the courthouse in a grey suit after stopping by his lawyer’s office, the R&B singer was heavily guarded by security as he entered the Los Angeles area courthouse.

According to breaking reports, Brown, 20, is to receive five years probation for felony assault, while also being given 180 days of community labor in Virginia.

Meanwhile, Rihanna also showed up to court after receiving a subpoena to testify, but never had to do so following her ex-lover’s deal with prosecutors.
