Child Welfare Investigating Britney Spears

Believe it or not, the courtroom saga of Britney Spears’ custody battle isn’t even close to being over.  This time, child welfare investigators are stepping in.

The Department of Children and Family Services is looking into “multiple child abuse and neglect allegations” against the “Toxic” singer.  Yesterday, court documents were released that confirmed the investigatory status.

According to these documents, the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Service find, “there are concerns about the safety and welfare of the two toddlers, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, if they are left in their mother’s care.” Further clarification was not released.

Neither Spears nor Federline’s attorneys are talking, but we do know that the Child Services department requested that “the court not alter the current custody and visitation arrangements until their investigation is completed.” K-Fed currently has custody of the boys.
