Carrie Underwood Slams Celeb Candidate Endorsements
We’ve been hearing our favorite celebrities talk about their choice for the next President of the United States of America, but if it was up to Carrie Underwood, that wouldn’t be so.
She recently opened up about her disdain for Hollywood stars who get behind a candidate and try to get their fans to vote in the same way.
She told, “There is someone I do support, but I don’t support publicly. I lose all respect for celebrities when they back a candidate. It’s saying that the American public isn’t smart enough to make their own decisions. I would never want anybody to vote for anything or anybody just because I told them to.”
Underwood is especially displeased with musicians who have voiced their choice for President. “Music is where you go to get away from all the BS. Whether it’s from politics or just the world around you, music should be an escape.”
