Carrie Prejean: Suing Miss California Pageant

We all remember her infamous pro-traditional-marriage statement at the Miss USA Pageant earlier this year, and now the former Miss California Carrie Prejean is filing a lawsuit against the Miss California organization.

According to a report, Miss Prejean is naming Keith Lewis and Shana Moakler, the pageant organizers, as well, saying she experienced slander, libel, public disclosure of private facts, religious discrimination, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligent infliction of emotional distress.

Furthermore, Carrie is claiming that there was a “conspiracy” against her by Moakler and Lewis and that their “wrongful conduct” against her “constituted a breach of duty.”

Prior to filing the suit with the court system, Miss Prejean will meet with lawyers for the Miss California organization to see if they can mediate the conflict without going through the court system.
