Cameron Diaz Teams Up With Al Gore For The Planet

When you think of dynamic duos who comes to mind? Batman and Robin? Beyonce and Jay-Z? Britney and insanity? Well make way for Cameron Diaz and Al Gore as this planet’s newest proactive pair.

Diaz and Gore are teaming up to save the planet. On the heels of Gore’s uber-successful Live Earth concerts, there’s even more Earth-preserving power coming from the former Vice President.

“60 Seconds to Save the Earth” is a new contest that challenges young people across America, the UK and the Republic of Ireland to use their creativity for the benefit of global warming awareness.

Participants will be creating brief public service announcements to help change the way people live. Gore said of the initiative, "We are asking young adults to take a stance and use their creative voices to encourage change and help fight the climate crisis."

Cameron added, "It is an exciting opportunity for young adults from around the world to inspire change because the planet needs a good publicist." Orlando Bloom, George Clooney, singer Rihanna, and director Sam Mendes will join the actress to select 20 finalists.
