Britney Spears Won’t Be Showing True Colors

Contrary to recent reports, Britney Spears won’t be showing up at the LA installment of Cyndi Lauper’s True Colors tour.

And it’s coming as a surprise for the other members of the tour.  Apparently she was invited to perform with the tour at the Greek Theater this Saturday, but she never accepted the offer.

Speculation as to why Brit declined the offer is centered around her tendency to lip-synch.  “Britney said she would only dance or lip-sync - and to be on stage with Cyndi, you have to actually perform. It’s not happening now,” a source told press.

But the decision not to perform must have been fairly recent.  Earlier this week, a Spears employee revealed that Brit was planning on doing the gig.

Nevertheless, the “Oops I Did It Again” singer has bigger fish to fry.  Like getting her family back together, and patching things up with her mother… oh, and that album that we’re all waiting to hear!
