Britney Spears’ New Wiggy Addiction
Headlines lately have been proclaiming that Britney Spears has become addicted to buying wigs and hats, insinuating that she’s not fully recovered.
With leftover money that usually went towards her luxurious nights out, Spears has allegedly traded her party addiction for shopping (not that she didn’t shop before, though). The alleged bill for her new head-related accessories… more than $60,000 in less than a month.
A source close to the recovering singer said Britney “has turned into a shopaholic”.
Addiction expert Dr. Robert Butterworth told In Touch Weekly magazine: “People with addictions often go from one compulsive behavior to another.”
In reference to the binge buying, addiction specialist Clare Waismann added: “She’s acting like a child. This is not normal behavior. Her whole demeanor is strange. She’s not doing well.”
Nonetheless, after initially being happy to display her shaved head, Brit soon opted to wear a variety of wigs.
Now, Britney’s been topping off the wigs with a steady rotation of hats, especially a white cowboy one that’s been a staple the past week.
We think that the shopping is better than passing out drunk… and at least she’s putting clothes on, not taking them off!
