Britney Spears Meltdown Update

As an update to the Gossip Girls story on Britney Spears’ latest meltdown, it has been reported that the “Gimme More” singer has been placed on a minimum 72-hour lockdown (known as a 5150) at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Spears’ court-appointed child monitor reportedly called the police last night when Britney locked herself in a room with her son Jayden James.

A souce told press, “She had already put Preston in the car when Britney locked herself in a room with Jayden. The cops came and got through the door and tied her down to a gurney.”

Upon her arrival at the hospital, the “Piece of Me” singer appeared to be “under the influence of an unknown substance,” and was placed on the 5150 hold. An insider told press that the lockdown is imposed, “when any person, as a result of mental disorder, is a danger to others, or to himself or herself, or gravely disabled.”

As a result of the drama, K-Fed’s law man Mark Vincent Kaplan called an emergency hearing earlier today to attempt to strip Spears of her visitation rights. A rep for the attorney reported, “Due to the circumstances, Mark Kaplan will not be making any statements to the media today.” But it stands to reason that Brit won’t have custody of her boys for a long time.

Update: Britney has temporarily lost custody rights of her two sons until at least January 14th. The judge said that Spears’ “visitation with the minor children is suspended pending further order of the court.”

According to press reports, after the 40-minute hearing, Federline’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan said: “There are no winners here.”
