Britney Spears, Luke Walton Romance A Hoax
It appears that the whole Britney Spears - Luke Walton couple watch was a false alarm. In response to reports last week that the two were dating, the LA Laker said on Thursday that he has not even met the pop singer.
The rumors of the romance started when Britney, who has never shown an interest in basketball, attended two recent Lakers games. Somehow from there, Entertainment Tonight linked her to a romantic relationship with Walton.
"The rumors aren’t true,” Walton told AP reporters. “I’m sure Britney is a great person. I don’t even know her. I have a girlfriend right now. I’m in a relationship. I’m very happy with my relationship. I don’t know where it’s all started, but none of it is true.”
According to a SoCal news source, Walton’s girlfriend is Bre Ladd, a former University of Arizona volleyball player. It’s also noted that Ladd just happened to be sitting five seats away from Spears at one of the recent Laker games.
