Britney Spears is a No-Show… Again
Okay, you may think we’re joking here, but we’re not. Reportedly there was a fifth deposition scheduled in the Britney Spears/Kevin Federline custody case yesterday. And the “Piece of Me” singer, again, failed to show up.
A source close to Brit told press, “Her whole life has become insane and it’s impossible for anyone to get through to her.” But legal insiders are citing the fact that her lawyer (the third one in a row) is trying to quit the case as her reason for not being there.
According to reports, Sorrell Trope filed a request yesterday to withdraw from the case. The document stated, “There has been a breakdown in communications between (Spears) and Trope & Trope (law firm) making further representation of her interests impossible.”
A hearing is scheduled for February 4th in which Trope will ask permission to be removed from the case. He told press, “A lawyer cannot simply withdraw from a case. We will ask the court to relieve us.”
