Britney Spears Holds Her Own with Ryan Seacrest
In light of the prolonged media lambasting of her character, Britney Spears appeared on Ryan Seacrest’s morning radio show today to promote her new album and set the record straight.
The “Gimme More” singer talked about her frustration with public perception, and constant scrutiny. “People say what they want and do what they do. Its sad how people ... how cruel our world can be. But at the end of the day you gotta to know in your heart that you are doing the best that you can.”
Pushing the issue a big farther, Seacrest asked the mommy-of-two if she felt like she was doing her best with her boys. Brit replied, “Oh god, yeah, yeah.”
With Blackout getting really great reviews from both fans and critics, Ryan asked the “Toxic” singer which new track was her favorite. She replied, “I really like ‘Heaven on Earth.’ I think it’s a cool track. It’s kind of different from all the other songs.”
As for her big record release day, Spears revealed that it wasn’t a high-profile party time. “It was kind of laid back, really. We watched movies, that’s about it.”
