Britney Spears Hits the Beach with Mel Gibson

Ever since Britney Spears began having personal difficulties, Mel Gibson has been a source of support and encouragement for her. And now he’s taking her on vacation.

That’s right, the “Gimme More” singer will be joining the “Passion of the Christ” filmmaker at his Costa Rican home this weekend, along with her father and Mel’s wife.

An inside source told press, “They’re just going away for a few days to relax.” And while it may be an unlikely friendship, anything positive for the troubled singer is a welcome change.

They were first spotted out and about together this past March while dining at Studio City’s Romanov restaurant. And it seems that the Gibsons have a real heart to help the “Toxic” mommy.

A source told press, “Mel and his wife Robin clearly saw a woman in crisis and wanted to extend themselves in any way possible. There are no expectations, there is no agenda. It’s simply an act of human kindness – one neighbor reaching out to the other.”
