Britney Spears’ GMA Extravaganza

Today marks two very significant events in the life of Britney Spears - her 27th birthday and the release of her much-heralded comeback album Circus. And she began the celebration this morning on CBS’ “Good Morning America.”

The “Toxic” songstress made her entrance into the Big Apple Circus tent at New York City’s Lincoln Center atop a circus wagon, dressed as a ringmaster. She performed her latest hit “Womanizer” to the delight of the plethora of people crammed into the tent, including Spears’ mother Lynne and sons Jayden James and Sean Preston.

“Good Morning America” host Robin Roberts called the performance, “our concert event of the year,” while Diane Sawyer speculated, “There are about a gazillion people [here].”

Following the performance, Britney announced that her concert tour would begin in New Orleans March 3rd.
