Britney Spears Gets Real

It has been a wonderful time of recovery, reconciliation, and rebuilding for Britney Spears ever since her father Jamie took over the reins in her personal and professional life. And in a recent interview with OK! magazine (her first in two years) she opens up about her life as of late.

The “Gimme More” singer revealed that she’s thrilled to have a new baby niece, though her kid sister’s pregnancy was a bit surprising.

“That was special, but it was also strange because she’s always been the baby, and now the baby was having a baby. It was mind-boggling. I was shocked a little bit. But it was really cool, and she was happy. When she got to the hospital, we all thought it was going to be an all-day thing, and instead, the baby just sort of popped out. Okay, we’re happy now!”

Her father also spoke up, telling the magazine that where they’re at right now is where they want to be. “Right now, everything is okay. I just don’t know what six months from now will bring, or three months. But as it is right now, the conservatorship is doing exactly what it is supposed to do. This is the way I live, one day at a time.”
