Tuesday, October 16, 2007 Britney Spears Gets Booked
With all the time she’s been spending in court and with police, Britney Spears should think about moving closer to the courthouse. This time, she was taking care of some unfinished business. The “Gimme More” singer showed up at a Van Nuys police station last night around 9pm, and left 45 minutes later. She was reportedly fingerprinted and photographed in her booking for the charges of hit and run, and driving without a valid license. Talk about your past coming back to haunt you! Officer Mike Lopez reported, “She was fine, cooperative. She did her business and came out.” And Brit was equally complimentary. She told press, “They were nice,” as she left the station, wearing huge sunglasses because of her pinkeye infection. This past August, the “Toxic” singer was involved in a hit and run incident in a Studio City parking lot. After she bumped her Mercedes Benz into another parked Mercedes Benz, Spears elected to leave the scene without taking proper measures to right her wrong.
And even though there was minute damage to either car, a law is a law, and Britney broke it. The woman who owns the car struck by Brit made a huge deal of the situation, which led to Spears being charged with the crime. In addition, she was driving without a valid California license.
