Britney Spears Custody Saga Continues

Kevin Federline’s secret witness made his way into court yesterday, but never got the chance to testify.

According to court reports, the witness was Tony Barretto, a former bodyguard of Britney Spears. Barretto arrived to the courthouse with a lawyer, but “Family Court Commissioner Scott M. Gordon held only a brief open session before clearing the courtroom of everyone but attorneys for Spears and Federline to privately discuss unsealing documents in the ongoing case.”

"We are shocked that Ms. Spears’ attorneys chose not to cross-examine our client as to the substance of his declaration,” Barretto’s attorney said. “Our client was prepared to testify on issues of nudity by Ms. Spears, drug use, and safety issues involving the children post-rehab.”

Meanwhile, FOX news has been reporting that the troubled pop star “will temporarily lose custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James to ex-husband Kevin Federline.”

While these claims have yet to be confirmed, they will most likely come true within a short period of time.

Besides her courtroom troubles, Britney also is dealing with issues in her professional life. Early Monday morning, Spears was dropped by her management, Jeff Kwatinetz of The Firm.

Explaining his dismissal of Britney as a client, Kwatinetz said, “It saddens us to confirm media reports that we have terminated our professional relationship with Britney Spears.”
