Wednesday, September 05, 2007 Britney Spears: Child Welfare and Criss Angel
It’s like that nagging cold virus that won’t go away. Britney Spears’ custody battle keeps on bugging the world around her, but this time there may be some good news for the “Gimme More” singer. According to Brit’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, she may not have to worry about the supposed complaints to child welfare that were previously worrying her. “It does not appear the county will pursue any action at this time,” Wasser told press. One of the reasons for the dismissal of the complaints may be that the complainant hasn’t come forward. No one seems to know who filed the report, or called child welfare services. But this one’s a long way from over. Court officials said that there will be a minimum of three more court hearings in 2007 to determine the custody arrangement for Sean Preston and Jayden James. This means we get to sit on the edge of our seats for four more months while a judge decides if these two kids will go to their mentally unstable, head shaving mother, or their money-grubbing, gold-digging deadbeat father.
In the meantime, we all get to see Britney in all of her glory performing not one, but two songs at this year’s MTV Video Music awards. Sources say that she will collaborate with Mindfreak Criss Angel on “Gimme More” and “Cry,” where he’ll make her disappear and reappear with the use of mirrors.
Enjoy the pictures of Britney and Criss out together (again) in Beverly Hills (September 4).
