Britney Spears and K-Fed’s Custody Dispute

After being overshadowed by Lindsay Lohan’s accident and Paris Hilton’s jail fracas, Britney Spears seems intent to get back her slice of the limelight. Trouble is, her latest moves may end up costing her at the hands of ex-hubby Kevin Federline.

As reported previously by the Gossip Girls, Britney took a trip to Hawaii last week with her two sons in tow. According to the latest Ledger reports, the pop princess was in violation of her custody agreement with K-Fed. And he was unhappy, to say the least.

The ex-couple’s agreement states that Britney can’t take the boys out of L.A. County without Kevin’s consent and a nanny’s supervision. An insider revealed, “For two days Kevin was desperate to find his children.”

According to the report, “Kevin bombarded her with phone calls, but she refused to answer. When Kevin checked the hotel Britney has used on previous Hawaiian vacations, she wasn’t there. When Britney finally answered her cell phone she infuriated Kevin even more when she told him she was indeed in Hawaii, sitting poolside sipping a drink.”

At this point irate, Federline then reportedly laid down an ultimatum for Britney to head home immediately. Upsetting Kevin even further, Britney stayed another day before bringing Jayden James and Sean Preston back home to Papa Federline.

After returning home, Britney has since gone out on a club-hopping spree in which she was photographed in numerous unflattering situations.

An Enquirer source noted, “Kevin is upset that Britney’s partying hasn’t stopped. She’s drinking heavily, and Kevin believes she’s also doing drugs. He urged Britney to surrender the kids to him permanently, but she said: ‘No way!’ But based on Britney’s boozing alone, Kevin believes he’ll be awarded full custody when he takes her to court.”

So, from the looks of things, we may be witness to a Spears-Federline courtroom showdown. And soon.

The insider concluded, “He’s not waiting any longer. He feels he gave Britney plenty of room to show she could be a good mother. Now he feels she can’t be trusted and he’s going back to court right away to try to get full custody. Kevin even told me, ‘If the court awards full custody to him and Britney loses her children, she’ll have no one to blame but herself.’”
