Bristol Palin Pregnancy Stirs Up McCain Campaign
Just after John McCain named Sarah Palin as his running mate, the American people got yet another surprise - Palin’s 17-year-old daughter is five months pregnant.
In a statement yesterday (September 1st), the Alaskan Governor confirmed that her daughter Bristol Palin is expecting. She told press, “Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned. As Bristol faces the responsibilities of adulthood, she knows she has our unconditional love and support.”
And according to Palin, her daughter plans to marry the babydaddy. “Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family.”
The McCain campaign says it was fully aware of the pregnancy situation prior to naming Palin as running mate, saying that it had no bearing on the decision.
