Brad Pitt Tries To “Make It Right”

While some celebrities try to indulge every fancy that comes their way, others put their time to better use by helping the less fortunate. And over the weekend, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie lent their fame to the victims of Hurricane Katrina at their “Make It Right” benefit.

On Saturday, after a day in the park with their kids, Ang and Brad hopped on a helicopter bound for the Hamptons. Their mission: Raise money for the Lower Ninth Ward hurricane damage.

It’s very respectable that the Fight Club stud and his Lara Croft Tomb Raider partner are still going strong to help Katrina victims. Even though it’s not on the news everyday anymore, New Orleans is still in dire need of reconstruction, and the Ocean’s Thirteen actor is doing his part.

The dinner was held at Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff’s Hamptons home. During the evening, the couple socialized with Pitt’s Ocean’s Thirteen co-star Ellen Barkin, country singer Jimmy Buffet and supermodel/Miss Hamptons, herself, Christie Brinkley

The only criticism we’ve heard about the event was Pitt’s choice of transportation to the dinner. While a helicopter sucks down gas, and gives off more pollution than a car, the usually-green Pitt hired one anyway.
