Blake Lively Talks About the Pressures of Fame

In this day and age, celebrities have to deal with all kinds of media scrutiny and privacy invasion. And Blake Lively says she’s experienced the phenomenon first-hand.

The Gossip Girl actress says she’s tired of reiterating to the press that she’s not romantically involved with her castmate Penn Badgley.

She told press, “Everybody always tries to dig into your personal life or create things that aren’t there. . . It’s silly. Any male friend is obviously a ‘romance alert’ [for the media], but I’ve always been friends with boys my whole life. “

So how does she deal with constantly being under the microscope? “[I] just try not to listen to what people say. At least for me it’s important – because I’m so close with my family and my friends – to keep core people around me that know the truth about everything.”

As for the plastic surgery rumors, Blake says the takes it all with a grain of salt. “People just wanna talk. They wanna create negative things about you and your life and make up things. You can’t let them affect you!”
