Nicky Hilton Calls Paris’ Sentence “Absurd”

Last night became the first time that Nicky Hilton has commented on her big sister Paris’ upcoming stay at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California. Nicky, never really liking the spotlight, kept her comments short before returning to enjoy her evening out.

“I think she should definitely be punished, but going to jail for a traffic violation is pretty absurd,” the younger Hilton sister told People magazine on Thursday at the BlackBerry Curve launch party in LA, which she attended with Paris. Also in attendance were Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross, Katherine McPhee and numerous other Hollywood starlets.

During the course of the evening, Paris was “giddy and giggly” as she gabbed with her sister and a female pal, but declined to to talk to the media, saying: “I’m not doing interviews.”

After serving time, Paris will reportedly be jetting off to sunny St Tropez to attend a party for the canned sparkling wine called Rich Prosecco. The question is… when’s the party?

“We have to wait and see what happens on June 5,” Gunther Aloys, the Austria-based head of Rich Prosecco, informed People. “Her family is very anxious about what will happen. When it (the jail sentence) is over, she was planning to go on vacation at the end of June. We expect to have a party day then with her in St. Tropez.”

At least Paris has something to look forward to!
