Black Eyed Peas Perform, Wil.i.am Assaults Perez?
Taking the stage in Toronto, the Black Eyed Peas gave an energetic performance for the fans at the 2009 Much Music Video Awards in Toronto on Sunday (June 21).
And while things started out well, band member Will.i.am found himself in a troubling situation after allegedly getting into it with celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.
According to NY Daily News reports, Hilton hit up his Twitter around 3am to tell that he had been assaulted by Will.i.am and his bodyguards after allegedly disrespecting Fergie and the band’s new album.
“I’m in shock. I need the police ASAP,” Hilton tweeted. “Please come to the SoHo Metropolitan Hotel now. Please.”
Perez continues, “I was assaulted by Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas and his security guards. I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke.”
In response, Will.i.am tweeted back, “I was the one that came to him with respect, and he was the one who called me a f----- outside the club.”
Denying any physical altercation, Will.i.am added, “Sounds like somebody wants mad attention and is not really concerned about his health. Shame on you, shame on your behavior, and that’s just messed up.”
