Beyonce’s International Appeal

She’s sold millions of albums as a solo artist (as well as with Destiny’s Child) and has the number-one-selling Rap artist on her arm. But last night, Beyonce Knowles got to experience a new level of success.

The “Bootylicious” singer took home the International Artist Award of Excellence at the 2007 American Music Awards, and she was beaming as she accepted the honor.

Beyonce said, “I’m so blessed to wake up every morning and do what I love to do. I don’t take it for granted. I’m so grateful, I’m so honored and I’m so humbled by this award.”

The kicker is that she’s the first woman EVER to win the award.

Another first occurred when she sang “Irreplaceable” southern-fried-style with Sugarland. We’re pretty sure she’s never done that before!
