Beyonce Prefers Women
If you’re going to a Beyonce Knowles concert, you may notice a serious lack of something very obvious on stage - Men. She hired a women-only band/tour cast and she says its been great.
The Bootylicious singer told press, “I grew up in a house with so many women. I love being around women, I love being around talented women and supportive women.” And apparently the estrogen-rich environment has been a positive move.
The 25-year-old singer says that she made the right choice in her hiring the female-only staff. “Everyone is so supportive of each other. We do things together, like yesterday we went skating; I rented out a roller skating rink for all of us and everybody’s families to come.”
And the lack of men hasn’t left a lack of anything in the musician department. “I was afraid of that in the beginning when I had the idea,” she says. “I was like, this will never work ... (but) I found focused and incredible musicians that are just as good or better than any guy. And then I was like, well, even if I do find it, after a while, there will be some problems. But it hasn’t been any problems, and everyone is just talented and secure and excited.”
