Beyonce Knowles: No Rush For Kids
While many celebrities are jumping on the baby boom bandwagon, Beyonce Knowles won’t be joining them anytime soon.
Though she says her marriage with Jay-Z is “great,” seeing her sister Solange give birth back in 2004 was enough to scare her away from motherhood for a good long while.
During a recent interview with Ellen DeGeneres, the “Bootylicious” singer said, “I was there in the delivery room and it kind of traumatized me. I said please don’t have me in the room. And she said, ‘You have to. I’m your sister. Stop being so silly.’ Well, I was right!”
When asked why she and Jay-Z waited so long to tie the knot (they dated for almost 7 years), Knowles answered, “I’m only 27 so I was really young [when we started dating]. And I feel like it’s important for women and men to have their goals and their own life before they can complete someone else. So we took our time.”
