Beyoncé Heats Up Shanghai Stage
While her boyfriend Jay-Z has his American Gangsters album hitting stores tomorrow, Beyoncé Knowles is doing big things of her own.
The Bootylicious singer just performed a concert at the Grand Stage in Shanghai on November 5th, continuing on with her world tour titled “The Beyonce Experience”.
The show came after Beyoncé canceled a planned performance in Malaysia amid speculation that she objected to a strict dress code banning sexy attire.
Meanwhile, Chinese officials are also said to be sensitive about the propriety of Western acts. In the past, “they told the Rolling Stones not to sing some of their racier hits and canceled a performance by Jay-Z, after deeming his lyrics ‘vulgar’.”
Now that Shanghai is over and done with, the International pop superstarwill be flying to Manila via a chartered flight on Tuesday afternoon.
MIAA’s Public Affairs Office told press, “Knowles and a 70-member entourage were set to arrive on board a chartered plane at 1:40 p.m. on Tuesday, the eve of her one-night-only concert at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig Wednesday night.”
