Tuesday, January 20, 2009 Beyonce and Friends Sing for the Obamas
Welcoming the new President of the United States, Beyonce Knowles and friends took the stage at the Neighborhood Ball in Washington DC on Tuesday night (January 20). After an introduction from actor Denzel Washington, Barack took over the mic for an impromptu speech, saying, “First of all, how good looking is my wife?” Ready for their first dance as President and First Lady, the Obamas then showed off their moves as Beyonce, clad in a full-length cream satin dress, sang a stirring performance of the Etta James classic “At Last”, bringing a crowd including the Obamas, Denzel and Mary J Blige nearly to tears. Also on-hand taking part in the night’s festivities were “Miami Vice” star Jamie Foxx, chart-topper Mariah Carey, country darling Faith Hill, hip-shaking sensation Shakira, the ever-energetic Stevie Wonder and Beyonce’s rap mogul hubby Jay-Z. Enjoy the pictures from the Inaugural Ball (January 20).

COMMENTS "Beyonce and ‘friends’ sing at Inauguration”??? you say it like it’s her party… and they’re not all her friends. Everyone there was invited by Obama, not by her. Say “Stars sing at Inauguration” Posted by on 01/21 at 01:02 AM
