Benji Madden and Sophie Monk Break Up
Remember the whole fight between Joel Madden and Nicole Richie regarding who would be the godmother of their daughter Harlow Winter? Well it was all in vain.
As it turns out, Joel’s favorite for the role, Sophie Monk, and his brother Benji Madden have called it quits, effectively removing her from competition with Paris Hilton for the position.
Monk’s publicist told press, “Sophie and Benji have officially split. The decision was mutual and they remain amicable. This will be my only statement regarding this matter.”
With this news fresh in our ears, we have to wonder if that means that Paris is a shoo-in, or if Joel has a runner-up in mind.
