Baby Watch: Lily Allen
She’s best-known for being a little British girl with a big attitude and a mouth that could make a truck driver blush. But Lily Allen is about to be known as something quite different; a mother.
The “Smile” singer is reportedly pregnant with Chemical Brothers’ Ed Simons’ baby. And the 22-year-old LDN girl seems cool with the prospects of starting a family.
She told press that despite the overwhelming success of 2006’s “Alright, Still” she’s not looking to be a big rock star. She told press, “Maybe I could retire at 25. I’m only going to do one more album.”
It’s not that she doesn’t like the whole rockstar gig, it’s just that she wants to try other things too. “It’s a great job, but it doesn’t leave time for what’s important. Like having a family. I’d like to live in the country and have a walled garden, and chickens and pigs.”
Regarding Allen’s pregnancy, her rep told press, “As the pregnancy is at a very, very early stage, the couple asks that you respect their privacy. The couple will be making no further comment but they are obviously both thrilled by the news.”
