Avril Lavigne: Headed for a Breakup?
Avril Lavigne and husband Deryck Whibley haven’t been enjoying each other’s company lately –as sources close to the couple say that they may be headed their separate ways.
The pair was married back in 2006 and marriage problems were revealed while Lavigne was out in Southampton last weekend - looking anything but married.
“She wanted to get away from Deryck and have a weekend to herself,” says a source close to the “Complicated” singer.
Another source at eatery, Georgica, saw Lavigne get away from her hubby before partying and hanging out with male fans. Later on, she got paranoid by paparazzi. “She kept running up to the photographers and asking to see the pictures they took,” said a NY Daily News source.
Continuing to enjoy her time away from her hubby, she arrived at Axe Lounge, where she danced the night away with no cares at all.
People have noticed complications between the two early on this year. The couple hasn’t been photographed together since December and Whibley attended the L.A. premiere of “Transformers” alone on June 22. During that time Lavigne was off having fun in Saint Tropez with her girls. One ongoer says she may have enjoyed paradise a little to much.
Meanwhile, Lavigne was working on an upcoming album which Sum41 husband was going to help her with. The industry scoop however says that even though they’ve created a few tracks together, Lavigne will just be doing it solo when it hits stores Nov. 17.

3 years isn’t a long time for most marriages, but in celebrity terms it’s like a decade. If they’ve done everything they can to work things out without success, then it’s no wonder they are going their separate ways. If they haven’t, then it’s going to be yet another addition to the growing divorce statistics that could have been prevented. That’s assuming the rumors are true of course.

They say they have not been seen together since December? That is wrong because:08-17-2009 Deryck was at Boathouse with Avril, she launched Abbey Dawn at Boathouse and Deryck was there. He even said he’d like her to start a mens line.
