Avril Lavigne and Britney Spears: Skin Showdown
Avril Lavigne would like to think that she is growing up. She just got married to fellow Canadian rocker Deryck Whibley of Sum 41. And now she is also turning heads with her racy Blender magazine cover. Unfortunately, her latest moves and comments have made her out to look quite the hypocrite.
So what’s the deal with the Avril scandal? Lavigne has openly criticized Britney Spear’s tendency to use her body to get attention, and now she is pretty much doing the same thing.
Avril once said, “I’m more about a performance, she’s more about entertainment and sex, being a sex symbol and trying to look like she’s having sex,” noting that she wouldn’t use her “great body” to sell records “like Britney Spears does.”
According to MTV.com, Lavigne responded to the hypocrite tag, saying, “Actually, I’m not topless on the cover. I was wearing a tube top, and they just kind of put a banner on top of it.”
And Britney? Well, not to be outdone, the wigged-wonder threw up a topless shot of herself on her website with a thank you message for her fans. Lavigne had said earlier of Britney, “She has paparazzi at her house every day. Then she does things that are crazy, so everyone talks about it.”
Like posing topless on magazine covers?

AVRIL LAVIGNE IS A HYPOCRITICAL PIECE OF S*** WHO IS BASHING BRIT TO GET ATTENTION. hey avril britney is at least consistent in her style, she doesnt say shes something then change, you piece of s*** leave britney out of your patheric cries for attention. she is 1000 times the performer you will ever be! Look at what she did?? Pinky, high-hilled, short skirt, and naked....so punching others was just her tricks to look smarter, however, what she desires to do is the same as others. (naked)
Can’t believe that she didn’t feel shy when she did what she firmly stated she wouldn’t do.

Who gives a sh** if she’s topless on a magazine? She’s grown up and can do whatever she wants. Everyone is just looking for a reason to bash her. Who gives a sh** about what she’s said YEARS ago. F**k it. She’s a grown woman and can pose whatever way she wants.
