Ashlee Simpson Stops by Today Show

We’re just days away from the release of her new album Bittersweet World, and Ashlee Simpson is working overtime to promote the new project.

The “L.O.V.E.” singer stopped by the NBC studios at Rockefeller Center this morning to pay a visit to the Today show, where she was interviewed by Matt Lauer before performing her new single “Little Miss Obsessive.”

And as could be expected, the hot topic was her recent engagement to Fall Out Boy beau Pete Wentz, as well as the overwhelming rumors that the betrothed couple is expecting to become a trio soon.

She told Lauer, “I feel like a really lucky lady,” regarding her new status as an engaged woman. When asked if she had a wedding date in mind, Simpson replied, “I don’t. Right now we’re just enjoying the engagement.”

And when it came to the pregnancy rumors, Ashlee handled it well. “That’s been going around for a year now. Only time will tell with that. [But] I am giving birth to my new record.”
