Ashlee Simpson Says “Yes” To Pete Wentz?
With all the messy divorces going on in Hollywood, it’s comforting to see that love is still in the celebrity air. This time it’s reportedly happening to Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz. And there are rumors swirling that Pete asked Ashlee to marry him. And she reportedly said “Yes.”
It hasn’t been officially released yet, but according to some insiders, Ashlee and Pete were officially betrothed last week. It all happened before a Fall Out Boy concert, backstage.
And sources were telling all about it. “Ashlee wasn’t expecting it at all, it was a total surprise. Pete whipped out a big engagement ring, dropped down on one knee, and asked Ashlee to be his bride. Ashlee says it was romantic, sexy — and that she said yes right away.”
And there are already plans to avoid the media circus that led to the demise of Ashlee’s sister Jessica’s marriage to Nick Lachey. “Ashlee and Pete are desperate to keep the engagement quiet for as long as they can so they can make wedding plans in peace. She definitely doesn’t want a big circus wedding like Jessica had when she married Nick. All she wants is a simple ceremony with her family, his family, and a handful of people.” a source told press.
And although there are also rumors that Ashlee may be pregnant, due to her refusal to drink at a family wedding recently, sources close to Simpson say it probably isn’t the case. “We don’t think they were officially engaged 20 minutes before she started calling people to spread the news,” says a friend. “If she were having a baby she wouldn’t be able to keep it to herself for five minutes.”
As something official comes out of the Simpson/Wentz camp, we’ll keep you posted.
Update: When asked if engaged, Pete responded with “No Way”
Update: Apparently, Joe Simpson (Ashlee’s dad) says that the two are engaged. We’ll be coming out with further info soon

there is no way he would have asked her to marry him i think ashee is a stinkin poser (i think she should pose for playboy so at least then everyone wouldnt want to know anything about playboy) in some of her pics she had some massive lumps of red lipstick on her massive chin that reaches china!so she is eather going out with herself or is a desparate person by making it look like she has been kissing pete (as if!)and pete has ether been brainwashed of hipnotised cause he is way too ho for her and stupid poser ashlee wants to get married to him but oviously he is gonna say no so she says there gettin married when there not. What a liar and everyone knows she hasnt got any fan she sings like a stabed cat!

i hope they never get married as they dont look good together ashley is every thing bad under the moon hes hot!! .. its just not right he can be happy but not with her accually with no 1 !! but me *crys* xx

i dont want to be mean… but you know… if you were pete and you loved someone you would probably still like her… think about your bf or gf would you dump them cause somone doesn’t like them… i mean just think about it................

PETE!!! How could you do this she is totally using you to get what she wants I don’t think this is a good idea think about it this would tear your band apart and THINK OF ALL YOUR FANS!!! and what about your future you both have a bright future ahead of you since you are both young so keep your band and wait alittle longer PLEASE!! for me and your fans so STAY WITH FALL OUT BOY!!!!!!!
