Ashlee Simpson Says “Yes” To Pete Wentz?
With all the messy divorces going on in Hollywood, it’s comforting to see that love is still in the celebrity air. This time it’s reportedly happening to Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz. And there are rumors swirling that Pete asked Ashlee to marry him. And she reportedly said “Yes.”
It hasn’t been officially released yet, but according to some insiders, Ashlee and Pete were officially betrothed last week. It all happened before a Fall Out Boy concert, backstage.
And sources were telling all about it. “Ashlee wasn’t expecting it at all, it was a total surprise. Pete whipped out a big engagement ring, dropped down on one knee, and asked Ashlee to be his bride. Ashlee says it was romantic, sexy — and that she said yes right away.”
And there are already plans to avoid the media circus that led to the demise of Ashlee’s sister Jessica’s marriage to Nick Lachey. “Ashlee and Pete are desperate to keep the engagement quiet for as long as they can so they can make wedding plans in peace. She definitely doesn’t want a big circus wedding like Jessica had when she married Nick. All she wants is a simple ceremony with her family, his family, and a handful of people.” a source told press.
And although there are also rumors that Ashlee may be pregnant, due to her refusal to drink at a family wedding recently, sources close to Simpson say it probably isn’t the case. “We don’t think they were officially engaged 20 minutes before she started calling people to spread the news,” says a friend. “If she were having a baby she wouldn’t be able to keep it to herself for five minutes.”
As something official comes out of the Simpson/Wentz camp, we’ll keep you posted.
Update: When asked if engaged, Pete responded with “No Way”
Update: Apparently, Joe Simpson (Ashlee’s dad) says that the two are engaged. We’ll be coming out with further info soon

yes this is very interesting news and I wonder if this is true. Since I have heard alot of these type of things going around everyday. I would think that both of them know that a big event like this would bring about through both fans and hollywood alike and if this is true I hope the two have thought this over. I do really hope that even though I know there are alot of diehard pete fans out there it would really show true respect to pete to support him fully in anything he comes does and maybe there is something in ashlee that we don’t see. Then once again I only wish pete and ashlee the best of luck and no offense to fans I’m only voicing my opinion.

Im like one of FOB biggest fans…
And as much as I LOVE!!! Pete Wentz, hes not the only one in the band belive it r not…
theres 3 other band memebers...name Patrick Andy and Joe,
and if Pete and Ashly want to date ya’ll sould accept that, and thas hard for me to say noing how much I love pete and hate ashley..
you just have to face that fact that there not going to separt because of us…
Sooner or later its going to end up like her sisters marriage…
But Pete and Ashley love each other…
so do them a favor if you rlly love pete,
Just leave them alone
with all the comments saing that Ashleys a slut and hes makeing a big mistake, because you or I will ever make a difference in there love

so yea...Pete...as much as i love you and as much as i hate ashlee...i know for a fact that they are not engaged cause he could have come out and saud it...hes a very straight forward kinda guy (i would know ive researched almost EVERTHING about him ) so yea personally im not into pop ashlee style but hey what can you say we cant all have him

You know, this is all media attention. I doubt they even care about each other. Does anyone have a psychology degree? If so, you would be able to look at ANY picture of Ashlee and Pete, look into their eyes, and see that neither of them are truly happy. If they aren’t truly happy, they aren’t truly in love. Thus meaning it’s only going to end in divorce if they are engaged. I would be happy for Pete, really, if he actually was happy for himself.

Don’t be jealous little girls that you cant be with Pete. You don’t know Ashley like he does so you don’t know whether she’s right for him or not. I’m a huge fan of FOB and I think its cute that they’re engaged. He seems to be happier now with Ash then he did with his last girlfriend. I just hope she doesn’t interfere with the band.

pete told me he doesnt even really date girls..
i was his nextdoor neighbor for pretty much all my life.
i think i know about him more then all you teenies out there who say ashlee is a sl*t.
shes NOT. shes so cool… and i love her even though shes dating pete.
she is not pregnant because in order to get pregnant ou must have sex and pete is abstinent.
which means he hasnt had sex and will not untill he is married.
so get the story straight....

This rumour is false. To be honest, I don’t really want them to get engaged. YES, it is their own choice, and it’s their life, not mine, but I’m just stating my opinion. It’s not that, “OMGZ!!!11 I don’t want Pete to get married he’s mine!!!!” I want him to have a girlfriend and be in love and happy and get married if he wants to. If he’s happy, I’m happy. I don’t see much in Ashlee, but as some of you said, perhaps he sees something we don’t. I want both of them to be happy, but I hope they think it through first if they ever will get engaged. (<--- Hopefully not. Sorry, I can’t change what my true thoughtd are.)
I’m a HUGE fan of FOB, and I just hope she won’t interfere with the band or change them.

Pete and Ashley if you ever see this....id like to say im happy for you. Beat the odds whether anyone likes it or not. Sometimes its not about what the fans want....shame on you guys if you were truly fans of theirs you would support their decision and hope for the best.
BTW: if they are engaged..why does it matter? obviously they are going to be with whoever they want and its not anyones place to judge them.
