Anne Hathaway’s Ex Faces Jail Time
As a follow-up to the Gossip Girls story on Anne Hathaway dumping her boyfriend Raffaello Follieri, it seems he could be in some pretty hot water.
According to reports, Follieri has been arrested for fraud, money laundering, and conspiracy to commit wire fraud. And if he’s convicted, Raffaello could be going to the joint for a very long time.
He’s been accused of lying to investors, claiming to be the CFO of the Vatican, and a flurry of other shady business tactics, all culminating in what appears to be the Italian businessman’s demise.
Thankfully, Miss Hathaway has managed to stay out of it all, although the complaint mentions that Follieri used the swindled funds to pay for a trip to the Dominican Republic with his ‘then girlfriend,’ as well as a $37,000-a-month apartment for himself and his ‘then girlfriend.’
In total, Raffaello faces six counts of wire fraud (20 yrs each), five counts of money laundering (20 yrs each) and one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud (5 yrs), adding up to life in jail if he’s convicted.

Can anyone confirm that Anne did in fact move out of Follieri’s appartment when they alledgly broke up. Just five days before he was arrested they went out to dinner, and the photo suggests nothing had changed. Is he now under HOUSE ARREST with Anne in tow, better than Jail. The only way Anne is going to give this guy up is if he is sent to prison, the sooner the better for her sake. Perhaps she should ask herself if he would have been intersted had it not been for her Celeb status.

Well Contactmusic answered that question, and reports that when Anne left she went without her dog.She has been asked to collect it as Follieri can not afford a dog walker,it is reported that he is in fact in jail,(best place for him) and will be under House arrest, when he posts $21mill bail. If he carn’t afford a dog walker how the hell can he find $21mill, I suspect most people would consider he was in the right place.
