Anne Hathaway’s Boyfriend: Bad Check Fiasco
He was sued last year for allegedly using up $1.3 million in business funds to cover his lavish lifestyle, and now Anne Hathaway’s boyfriend Raffaelo Follieri has once again found himself in a legal predicament.
The Italian property developer turned himself in to police custody earlier today after being accused of trying to pass a bad check, NYPD spokesman Detective Martin Speechley told People magazine.
According to press reports, the check that the Princess Bride actress’ boyfriend was trying to pass through was for around $250,000. It was believed that Follieri may have been trying to find a way to make a court-ordered to a public-relations firm, which he owes $250,000 for work done on his behalf.
However, now it’s looking like Raffaelo’s arrest may have been a big misunderstanding. Follieri’s lawyers are reportedly trying to sort out the problem and he is now out of police custody.
