Anna Paquin Talks Vampires
It’s no secret that there has been a resurgence of vampire-related subject matter in Hollywood as of late, and Anna Paquin thinks she knows why.
The “True Blood” actress told press that women lust after the blood-suckers because there’s a certain sense of eroticism about them.
“Girls like them because they’re sexy and dangerous and always really hot. They’ve been around a long time — they probably know what they’re doing when it comes to that sort of thing.”
She also revealed that her blonde coif as Sookie Stackhouse on her hit Showtime gig has brought plenty of fun into her life. “Boys like to stare at blonde girls – that’s totally true. So it’s amusing and quite lovely. Boys like blonde girls, who knew? Maybe that’s why I’m not changing it back between seasons. I’m really enjoying it. The hair was a huge part of becoming this character – the whole blonde thing and the tan thing. When they first cast me I was a pasty brunette from New Zealand, and now I’m a Southern blonde.”
