Anna Nicole Smith: Diaries and Dannielynn
A few more notable updates have taken place in the Anna Nicole Smith saga over the past couple of days.
First of all, Anna’s estranged mother, Vergie Arthur, wants custody of baby Danielynn in the event of Larry Birkhead’s death. These demands and other joint custody issues are delaying Birkhead from gaining custody of his daughter.
According to the NY Daily News, Birkhead is rejecting Arthur’s request… making an interesting point that it is an unusual stance for a grandmother to take. Birkhead and Arthur have until Friday to come to an agreement that works for both of them, or the judge will impose one.
TMZ noted that Birkhead’s been spending quite a bit of his time with Dannielynn, bonding with his baby. Howard K. Stern has even given his stamp of approval, saying, “He’s doing a great job!”
Next up, two diaries written by Anna Nicole Smith in the early 1990s failed to sell at an auction over the weekend, but are now available for a minimum bid of $25,000 each, an auction house told CBS on Sunday.
“We have a buy-it-now situation,” said Doug Norwine, the director of music and entertainment memorabilia at Heritage Auction Galleries of Dallas.
The diaries from 1992 and 1994 cover a range of topics, from Smith’s love of octogenarian oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II to concerns about her eating. They were purchased by an anonymous German businessman on eBay for more than $500,000 several weeks ago.

Hi berkhead i am so happy for you that you got you,r daughter back. i dont think howard ment no harm to anyone, i miss anna to real bad i was a big fan of hers but i think she could not take the pain of loosing daniel and even thow she had daniella her heart still hurt. she loves her daughter to but to get out of pain i think thats why this all happened. also she new you would get your daughter she can rest in peace now knowing you and her daughter is safe with you. oh by the way congrats on the beautiful little angel. dont let virgie get her hands on you,r daughter plz
