Anna Nicole Smith: Accidental Overdose

A judge has finally released the anxiously awaited autopsy results of Anna Nicole Smith.  An accidental drug overdose caused the sudden death of the former Playboy Playmate, Florida officials told reporters.

Anna Nicole was found dead at a Florida casino-hotel on February 8, triggering numerous bitter legal feuds over her remains, burial, and the custody of her 6-month-old daughter, Dannielynn.

"We are convinced, based on an extensive view of the evidence, that this case is an accidental overdose with no other criminal elements present,” Seminole Police Chief Charlie Tiger stated, according to ABC news.

Meanwhile, “there was no evidence of illegal drugs in her body,” said Broward County Medical Examiner Joshua Perper, who provided an in-depth account of the events leading up to her death “that included her temperature at various times and the medication she took.”

As reported earlier by The Gossip Girls, Anna Nicole was buried in the Bahamas on March 2nd, after a circus-like, yet elegant funeral. As of now, her longtime companion Howard K. Stern, LA photographer Larry Birkhead, and Anna Nicole’s estranged mother, Virgie Arthur, are all battling over custody of baby Dannielynn, who someday may inherit millions.

Several other men also claimed to be the father of Dannielynn. The results of a DNA swab of the child have been placed under seal by a judge in the Bahamas, pending an appeal against the DNA test by Stern.
