Angelina Jolie’s Ankle Injury
Expectant mother Angelina Jolie showed off her colorful side while dining out solo at Italian eatery Marino Ristorante in Beverly Hills on Thursday (April 24).
Looking in fine form, the Tomb Raider actress looks be well on the way to recuperating after a reported emergency doctor’s appointment for leg swelling after an ankle injury.
While in Texas for partner Brad Pitt’s filming of “Tree of Life” - Jolie allegedly decided to fly home to Los Angeles to have her own doctor check the swelling.
An insider told Life & Style magazine, “At first she thought it was just a twisted ankle or something. But everyone was worried because of the pregnancy and previous problems she’s had with leg swelling. Angelina didn’t want to take any chances, and everyone agreed. Brad was really worried.”
And things got worse for the 32-year-old actress while flying home, with the source continuing: “Her legs were swelling and she was getting really wobbly and starting to feel sick.”
The pain eventually became so overwhelming that Brad and Angie thought about making an emergency landing.
“Angelina’s medical team had advised her to head to the nearest medical facility if the situation got worse,” the insider tells, adding that “Jolie insisted they continue on to LA so she could see her own doctor.”
