Amy Winehouse’s Drug Test Ultimatum

She’s got a new look, and a chance to make restitution to her American fans for canceling her tour in 2007. But first Amy Winehouse has to stay away from drugs.

According to an industry insider, the “Rehab” singer’s only chance at touching down on American soil is to pass a mandatory drug test. If she can manage to stay clean, US officials will grant her a work visa so she can perform at the Grammys, where she is up for a total of six awards.

A friend of the troubled singer confirmed the report. “Amy’s been told she needs to pass a drug test before she can get a visa. She is doing much better and has cut down her drug use but still isn’t clean. Her team are desperate to clean her up as the Grammys is such a big deal. But Amy’s not so bothered.”

Apparently looking for ways to pass the time (that don’t include drugs), Winehouse was spotted on a bit of a shopping spree earlier today in London. The newly blonde crooner reportedly stopped by a convenience store, a sporting goods shop, a pharmacy, and a fast food restaurant for some fried chicken.
