Amy Winehouse Rushed to Hospital!
With her father Mitch by her side, Amy Winehouse was carted off to the hospital with an oxygen tank by her side on Monday night (July 28).
According to AP reports, a spokesman for Amy has confirmed that the Grammy-winning singer has been taken to the emergency room at a London hospital.
Hospital spokesman Chris Goodman told that “Winehouse was taken by ambulance from her north London home to University College Hospital. He did not know what might be wrong with the singer.”
With her habitual drug and alcohol use making things worse, it’s currently believed that the problem is emphysema-related, although nothing has been confirmed at this point.
Update:Amy’s rep has issued the following statement: “Amy Winehouse suffered a reaction to medication at home this evening and was taken to the hospital. Doctors have advised that she will be kept under observation overnight and is likely to be released tomorrow.”
